Most of my entries are 'friends only' anyway, so I thought I'd go ahead and make it official. I'll leave icons posts open.

I promise to do a non-SG1 post soon. In the meantime, here's just a wacky/corny picspam based on the Emancipation episode. Daniel tries to play a practical joke on Carter and it doesn't go exactly as planned.

24th-Apr-2008 02:50 pm - Boston Marathon
FF River_textless

This past Monday (4/21) was the 112th running of the Boston Marathon and I went up to cheer on my dad who ran. You can read all about it and look up results on their website @ http://www.baa.org

His official time was 4:15:00 with an average pace of 9:44 a mile. Now, sure, a lot of people could run a mile in 9 minutes and 44 seconds.... but could they do it for 26.2 miles??

This was his 6th Boston running and his 98th marathon+plus . No, not a typo, that's 98 'races' that required him to run 26.2 miles or more. Meaning that some of those were ultra-marathons like the JFK 50 miler.

Yea, he's nuts.

There are a lot of crowds cheering runners on at the Boston marathon, so I didn't get to as many stops as I would've liked. In fact, he didn't even see us as he ran by -- so many people were yelling and cheering.

But, here's proof that we were there and didn't just sit lounging around at Starbuck's all day...
